New chick, need help a.s.a.p.

actually i used a shot glass(its more narrow)after i wrapped my chicks legs i put her in a shot glass and it forced her to stand.i would her her in till she fell asleep then took her out and just kept doing this till her legs got stronger.it worked for her, shes around 5 mos. old now and doing good...

Also, you will need to provide her with water and vitamins --- drizzle vitamin water (children's poli-vi-sol without iron) from an eye dropper on her beak.

Best of luck to this dear little sweetie.

Jenny

Ok thanks ill try it, any suggestions on what should i feed it? Since obviously it isn't going to be able to eat the way it is now. I really appreciate everyone's help, Ill keep you posted on what happens

I don't like to give you the news, we had a Barred Rock Plymouth do this and the Breeder said she will probably be gone in a day or so and that there was nothing we could do for her. Sorry if this is the case for you.

Well its the end of day2 and the chick seems healthy aside from the leg problem. ive been holding it with its legs tucked how they should be and ive started trying to hand feed and water it. It pecks at my hand when im holding it so im guessing its not getting too weak yet, although it could just be reserves its feeding off of. The real test will be to see if it survives past day3
