It's a family: Tom, several hens, and the offspring. (Sounds like a chicken flock doesn't it) They must have had a very successful hatch this year. @Ponypoor keep an eye out for them again. Can you ID the number of juveniles in there?

Millions of them!!! Ok well not millions, but we have lots of turkeys. I thought they would have been killed off last winter with the harsh winter and heavy snow. But they are tough beasts!

I’ll try to bring my camera to the barn with telephoto lens, they are usually out in the paddocks in the evening grazing/foraging.

Gosh I love turkeys ♥️🥰

I'm sorry but that seems way easier.

I have come to an agreement with my lot.

Work days I put them to bed at 6pm when I am finished chores so I don’t have to fuss with them at 8 for evening chores with the horses.

Weekend nights they can roost were they want when they want. I gather them up at 8pm chores.

Either way there is a lots of squabbling between the chooks in the Summer House. And Clyde and Mr LC just go and hide in a corner and go to sleep! Typical guys 😉🤭

It’s not right that Dakota prefers being indoors, watching vintage Monty Python reruns instead of being outside doing chickeny things. I tried to take her out, but she just jumped right back up into my lap, wanting nothing to do with her feathered associates. :th
