New chick with "dead" damaged toe. Need advice!

For your viewing pleasure, an updated photo of the infamous chicken toe.

I think what we're seeing here is proof that evolution is beginning to provide chickens with thumbs and you're witnessing it right here on BYC.com! Mankind is in big trouble now that these birds have acquired opposable digits.

Looks good!

you don't need do anything, if you really want to go overboard, then use an anti-fungal anti-bacterial anti-septic like honey if you really want, It will nuke the lot it touches because glucose lactase produces 'small but potent but not big enough to harm anything bigger than germs' sized amounts of hydrogen peroxide as a by product of it's metabolism.

put some in something shallow, pick up hen, put hen down approximately on top of shallow something. Repeat until it steps right in it, eww.

oh wait it's just honey, so minus the eww.

honey is ok for chickens and if you eat the chicken please clean it first (feathers etc) but you can eat the honey too.

try to avoid poison flavored birds.

try not to put poison on your food, if chicken is your food.
