My first attempt and success at hatching quail. It thinks the bc marans chick is it's mom. I may be starting to be addicted to hatch.

I hatched a Silver Lace Wyandotte last season. The chick was a sole, and lonely chick, so I put it in with the Quail Chicks. It was raised with the quail, up until the time it was too tall for the 8"high quail colony cages.

She now resides with the mini-lop rabbit, in the rabbit hutch. I don't have the heart to tell the bird it’s a chicken. The rabbit loves the company, and they hangout together. The rabbit has raised many other chickens over the last two years. The rabbit is a lot friendlier to me, when she has a chicken for a companion. The chickens have a calming effect on the rabbit.

I figured a Quail addict would have more than one, but that's just me.

No, I hatched several chicken and quail eggs together in the same incubator but seperated them into different brooders as soon as they came out. I planned it so that they all hatched on the same day.

How about 23 quail hatchlings and 12 chicken hatchlings, does that count?

I'm not sure if it counts, but should be very close to getting there.

Congratulations on your hatch!
