Well in March I became a new chicken mommy to 4 beautiful buff orphington chicks from my local tractor supply store and have recently moved them out to their temporary coop and run. I am mainly here for info and help to make my chickens healthy and happy egg producers so far they al seem to be females.

And congrats on the new chicks! You will love your Orps. They are very docile, friendly and great layers too. Make sure to handle them a LOT as babies. This will really tame them up. When they are adults, they will stalk you for the goodies or a nice soft lap to sit on.

Just like Two Crows said, you'll love the orps! They are my absolute favorite breed!! And yes handle them a lot now so they are friendly when grown.
