it still needs a little more work but I’m getting there. The run is appx 70’ x 30’ and has garden netting over the top. Eventually I want to put up pvc pipe arches under the netting. But for now they’re happy little chickies. 27 in all.

Not really. We’ve been here a little over 2 years and so far no issues. Previously we only had 4 free range chickens but then one hatched 8 babies. Then the Tractor Supply mgr talked me into buying 15 more for 50 cents a piece the day before a hurricane hit our area. He didn’t want them to die if power was lost at store. The first night we did lose power And I had 23 babies sleeping under a blanket with me. LOL

Cool!
Can we see inside coop?
It also still needs some work. Trying to decide if I want to insulate. But it doesn’t get that cold here. I’ll also add a small fan to the back window becauseIt does get hot in the summer. I used 2 folding tables and put old dog crate liners on top with PDZ refresher. Just scoop the poop. Easy Peazy. I used 18 gallon tubs for the nesting boxes and cut holes in one end. That way they cat hide in the other. I’m just using 5 for my 25 hens. I have 2 Roosters. The little ones was raised on classical music so I still provide that in the coop.s you can see, I need to buy another chain for their water. But for now the bungee cord is working. LOL

I wouldn't bother...ventilation is much more important, all year around.
