Hey everybody, so this is my wife and I first go around with chickens and having a blast so far. One thing that worries us is wether or not our chickens our indeed pullets like we were told. So I figured I would join here and ask as I have found most of my questions answered on this site. I know two of them are buffs but not sure on the others. They are between 11-13 weeks now.

It looks like the golden one is a rooster i hace one like that age and hes a rooster too so sorry and it looks like the.black one is too

The two buff chicks are definetly cockerels. Cant see the black ones real good the rule is that if the combs are red at that age they are cockerels. Pullets combs will not get red or even oink until mature and point of lay. So if the black chicks have red combs then they are cockerels. If they have skin colored combs they are pullets. Pullets will usually begin to lay around 19 weeks old. Yours are too young. Therefor are cockerels.

Here is the black ones. I have heard that BOs can have red wattles this early as pullets

I think the two BO in the last picture are probably roosters, yes they can have red combs at that age but the combs on your two guys are very pronounced. I think the brown and white speckledy one is a pullet. Not sure on the others sorry

Ok so a little update....3 out of 4 of them were for sure Roos....lol I'm hoping for the 4th to be a girl so I kept her. What do u guys think? She looks WAY different then the others did. Approx 6 months old maybe just a little less.
