Well it's official my wife who dislikes chickens almost as much as she dislikes spiders just ran out in the back yard with me in our undies to feed a freshly caught wolf spider to the chicks. Completely worth it to watch that game of keep away.

My black Turken suddenly started turning brown in the last 2 days. Now i am confused what she is going to look like....

I had to laugh at this post. I hope she is kind of starting to like chickens whether she will admit it or not.

Honestly, I don't see how she could not like chickens considering how irresistibly cute your flock is. But I am a bit biased in favor of chickens.

Everyone got to free range for the first time ever today. My dog which killed a chick in the first few hours of bringing them home 4 months ago obviously remembers getting in trouble because she walked around in the yard and had not the least bit of interest in the chickens. Only mishap we had was the dumb silkie walked into my cage trap. Also did some revising of my feeder system today after getting tired of getting poop in and behind the old feeder. I wish i hadn't cut the PVC opening down so low but for $8.00 i certainly won't be replacing them. No use crying over spilt crumbles. On to the pictures.
