New chicken getting attacked

I put her and her friend (the white one) in the dog crate overnight. This afternoon when I got home from church I let everyone outside to free range. My husband picked up blu kote and I went out and she practically flew to me when I was out there after the others were coming after her again. I brought her in, washed her up again with salt water, blow dried her and applied the blu kote. Then I put her and the white one back in the crate. Immediately the white one started pecking at her. I opened the crate to kick the white one out and the red one flew to me again. I tried to put the white and red back in together and the same thing happened again so I kicked the white one out of the crate and immediate she gets attacked by the old flock and is hiding in a corner nesting box behind the crate. Thinking about bring the red one inside in a smaller crate in the basement and letting the white one stay out in the coop crate. Any reason not to do this...other than I'm probably going to have a chicken living in my basement for weeks...
