Hello BYC Members,

My name is Ivette, and I am in Central FL.

I've only had chickens for about 6 months. I got them as week old chicks, and although I purchased them as pullets, 7 out of 9 turned out to be cockerels. Today I traded 6 of them for 4 hens.

Well, I'm looking forward to being a part of the BYC community.

Glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. The younger the chick, the less likely they are accurately sexed. You're very fortunate you could swap them for hens.
