New Chicken Lady here that only ever wanted dogs

Do the vets put them on angiotensions and diuretics?
Not necessarily angiotensin but they her furosemide, benazepril and pimobendan. It's the standard start of treatment to help the heart beat more efficiently and get keep fluid from building up in the lungs. Sometimes antiarrhythmic meds are started depending on what the Holter monitor finds and the tolerance the dog has to the drug. Sometimes the symptoms are worse for the dog. If that happens I stop them.

I have one Yorkie that doesn't care about the hens until THEY FLY!!! then watch out! . My old dog stares at them through fence and locks eyes and barks loudly ( all 10 pounds of him) lol. Mine don't free range but dogs don't care for the most part. But if they're chicks! my Yorkie tried to eat it. !!!! :bow:barnie
p. s. I love your dog in profile pic.
Thank you for the nice comment about the procfle pic! He’s so photogenic.🥰 That’s funny your Yorkie thought they were snacks. I think our bulldog thinks they are fluffy balls he can play with. 😂
