How big a yard do you have? Privacy fence?

If you do an online search for your town, you may be able to find out the regulations and just how stealthy you'll need to be. Many towns do allow a certain number of hens (no roosters usually) within city limits. It's nice to know where you stand, in any case.

What breed of chickens are those and where did you buy them?(Some vendors are more reliable than others with regard to correct breed/sex.) There seems to be a sudden shortage of baby chicks in many places lately--lots of feed stores are running out as soon as they get any in. Maybe you're the lucky one who got there first.
