New Chicken Mama

I bought 10 chicks about 4 weeks ago. This is my first experience raising chickens. They were suppose to all be Black Australorps, but I ended up with mostly Plymoth Rocks (I think). I am not disappointed. I absolutely love them all. They are so friendly and fastinating to watch. I moved them outside about a week ago and they are loving it. When I get home from work in the evening I let them out of their run/coop to play in the yard. They love to eat grass and catch bugs. I never knew chickens could be so much fun to watch. Some of them like to climb on me when I sit down.

I have really enjoyed this web site. I have read so much useful information.

Welcome Elbie .. I call it the all chicken channel .. Some nights my husband and kids and I just pull up some yard chairs and sit and watch them while we hang out and talk . Better than so many mindless shows on TV today anyway : ) ~Corinne
