New chicken mom in California

Hello everyone! This is my first time owning and raisng baby chicks. I have owned older chickens in the past.My chicks are 3 weeks going on 4 . I have Americuana's and a Black sex link. What is a safe age to put chicks outside in a coop? I live in California so weather currently is high 90s during day and high 50s during night! Any advice would help ! Thanks yall .

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Chicks can go in the coop as soon as they come out of the egg. As long as the coop is predator-proof, well ventilated with draft protection and a heat source for chicks less than 6 weeks old, they will be just fine.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

We just put some three-week-old silkies out in a grow-out pen yesterday. It's averaging 70s outside and high 40s, low 50s at night, but they have a cozy coop radiant heater in the hutch they can run in and warm up. Then, they come out to run around for a while. You're in a slightly better situation, so yours should be fine too!
