New Chicken Mom Thrilled to Be Here

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. Sounds like "chicken math" has struck big time. Very few members are immune to it.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

BantamLover21, my chickens have even made me good at math, eggspecially addition and multiplication.

FRENCH TOAST!!! Lol I just realized how much better it's going to taste with my own eggs. I've never even had a real egg before.

I love to make my own organic ice cream, so it's going to be divine! And, I hope to make Tortilla de Espanola everyday for lunch with my eggs too. Hurry up girls!

Welcome to BYC!
I grew up with farm fresh eggs - and probably took them for granted - my husband, on the other hand, had never had one until I finally talked him into letting me get back into keeping chickens (hadn't had them for a few years prior to meeting him and it took me many years of marriage to wear him down, lol) -- he was blown away by just how good they are and is now a total egg snob, lol.

I'm glad you joined us.

"Egg snob" is hilarious, OGM! Thank you, Wyandottes7. I wish our local farm supplies had Wyandottes chicks.

Welcome to BYC!!!

What part of the Northeast? I'm from Rhode Island! The girls are so happy that spring has sprung. Okay, maybe that's me that is so excited, but I'm sure they are happy to not be huddling together as much. The egg production is a pretty good indicator that they are happier and getting good amounts of sunshine!!

Hi, ChickenLoverRI! :) I'm in NE OK, south of Tulsa, OK. I've never been to RI, but my Golden Comets are descendants of RI ancestors. Lol
