Hi there :frow... thanks rj!
I say try keeping him.. until or unless someone complains.. if I didn’t just find out myself that I have my first rooster I’d be tempted to take him.. he is gorgeous! I’m not actually IN New Orleans.. so I can have roosters... Just keep me updated to see how things go.. I can ask around..

:frow Welcome from New Orleans. (Sorry I am late to the party ) We were able to keep a rooster for 4 years, with the neighbors okay, until a new neighbor ratted us out to to the city. We were given 15 days to re-home him. My sister-in-law in Amite was able to help find a good home for him on a small farm up there, it took almost the entire 15 days to get this done. I would reach out to anyone you know in the country before advertising anywhere but BYC. So he gets a good home. Good luck! people do let roosters loose in Laferniere Park in Jefferson parish, there is a large population out there, as a last resort. If you are ratted out you will get a notice on your door, so it won't come as some big surprise person at your door with handcuffs. :lau :barnie

Thanks to @rjohns39 for the shout out, always happy to help if I can.
