Welcome to BYC! Those Easter chicks are more than people bargain for, aren't they? And yes, what to do with the rooster is the big heartbreak of the chicken world. We ended up with an accidental white bantam cochin who turned out to be a cockerel - amazingly we lucked out in our local FB group and found a homesteader who was about 2 hours east of here who was setting up a bantam flock along with their regular chickens and goats, and took him, so he's a lucky cockerel. Still miss him, he had a lovely spunky personality, but he'd started to do "prepubescent crowing" as my daughter put it. Good luck with your rooster.e
