New chicken momma in Oklahoma

They are so adorable when they're scratching. It's like their own little chickie dance. Next time I will have to make them a little pen though. Our pregnant cat was not too happy about them running around the yard and her not being allowed to catch them.

Yes, I love their little chickie dance! It's adorable! And I relate with the cat situation....when we brought home our first chicks it took some time for our dogs to get used to them, but now it's the chickens attacking the dogs, not that they do much damage though. Ha! It might be a little harder with a cat though, but I'm not sure.

Update

Its been a while since I've posted. All 6 ladies are doing well. The cats have accepted that the hens rule the backyard now. We just finished their coop, all recycled materials from a storage building that was in need of being torn down so FREE! Best kind, huh
