Hey all, my name is Heather and I am new chicken mommy. I am from Wisconsin, and my dad dropped off 10 hens and 1 rooster at my home and said to keep them here until a farmer was ready to take them in. Well, I have become quite fond of them and have decided to start raising my own. I have no clue as to what breed they are. Two weeks ago, I bought 2 rouen ducks and 2 small buff bantom hens. I LOVE my little hens! I ordered a dozen buff bantom chicks today and unfortunately one of my hens past away this afternoon

I want to raise small buff bantom's, easter egger's, rouen ducks, and plan on getting a peacock beginning of June. I have 13 eggs, from the 10 hens that I don't know the breed of, in an incubator. I was so excited when I candled my first 6 and saw little embryo's. This is my first time doing this! So I decided to add a few more and see what happens. Anyway, kind of excited here. I just wanted to introduce myself, I probably will be asking A LOT of questions in the future, so please be patient with me. Thank you for letting me join and I hope everyone has a pleasant evening
