New chicken nerd alert!

I like your coop plan! The height of the windows is good, you want them to be higher than the chickens' heads when they are roosting, so there's plenty of ventilation, without drafts blowing directly on the chickens.
Our cat gets along with our chickens, she comes into the coop when we are feeding them, and shows no interest in hunting them.

Welcome to BYC! There is nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about what we enjoy. As a fellow gardener, I can assure you that chickens and horses will be a great addition. When you get the space. I have had many of the chicken breeds on your wish list. None of them will disappoint. I also had a very nice dapple gray Arabian/Tennessee Walker years ago. A Belgian/Quarter Horse is my current mount. Accompanied by wife’s big bay quarter horse.
I just lost my Belgian/ quarter... Best horse I've ever had! ❤️
