New Chicken Not Laying Yet

We adopted a 1 year old Blue Ameracauna Chicken about 6 weeks ago. I didnt expect her to lay right away, but she still has not. Is that normal? She had been laying before we got her, and i figured with the move and stress it might be a couple weeks until we got a egg from her. Well, nothing yet and its been 6 weeks. She seems way less stressed now and is getting along with the othe chickens okay, eating and drinking, and not being broody.
Is there anything else I can do for her?

That is kind of long for her to adapt......Do they get to free range? Could she be hiding her eggs?

Yes they get to Free Range, and I have checked everywhere in the coop and no blue/green eggs yet!

She could be egg bound or are you sure she is 1yr,she might be older. Just a couple of possibilties.

Could she have laid an egg under a bush. One lady in town said her chickens lay under bushes and have never laid in the coop. Maybe they are just unfound. Ha ha.

Seems like a long time to get adjusted. Did you get her from someone you know? Maybe she isn' t what was advertised!!!
