In the Brooder
Hi, I'm Cherry and I am new to this site. I have found lots of information to help me learn about my girls.
I have a mixed flock, we have 8, 5 month old birds, 18, 7 week olds, 2 ducks and 2 turkeys that are about the same age as the babies. All the babies get along great and are thriving right along. Been feeding the babies a mixture of non med chick starter and wild game feed cause of the turkeys and ducks. Starting them today on a mix of chicken feed and all flock so I am not buying all kinds of different feed for bigs and littles and they are all eating the same food. There is a bit of background and now for my question.
When my hens start laying do I have to feed them laying pellets or would it be ok to put out some oyster shell in the feed and be good to go?
