New chicken owner has a chicken with a leg Issue

She started limping about a week ago, and now she isn't moving around much. She is still eating and drinking but seems pretty listless. She is not laying yet- about 10 weeks old. Any advice?

Have you checked the bottom of her feet for any signs of bumble foot? you can type in bumble foot in the search up top and read about it. also could she have jumped down off the roost and injured her leg?

Definitely check for bumble foot! If you look it up in the learning center, you will find some pretty graphic photos, as well as information for how to remove it.

It sounds like she was injured, but as far as the listlessness, have you checked for mites? How is her feces? Does it look normal? Any red?

Maybe, but until she checks it could be a sprain, I had a very heavy brahma hen jump off the roost and limp for several weeks. I had to lower the roost after that. and there was 10 in of shaving under her. and as far as being listliss pain can make you feel bad. Try giving her scrambled egg and other rich protein foods during this time,. also like was mentioned mites and lice are begining to start up with the weather warming. Also worming my be something to check into.
