Hello, thank you for letting me join. I live in northern California with my husband and two daughters. My oldest daughter's science class incubated several chicken eggs that came from another parent's backyard chicken coop. My daughter really wanted chickens and thought she had missed out because not all the eggs hatched, but there ended up being three unclaimed baby chicks and since they had bonded we had to take all three. So we have three Mille Fleur D'Uccle chickens. I am pretty sure two are roosters. I fell in love with chickens years ago when I came across feral chickens on the Hawaiian island, Molo'kai. They just came pouring out of the forest in the morning and I thought they were the most adorable creatures digging around in the dirt. Before that, I never really understand why people really liked chickens. Here is a picture of them and then their new coop.
