New chicken owners blindly building a coop & run

I thought I'd come back and post the most recent photos of the coop. It's changed a bit since we started it almost a year ago. We relocated in the yard because the concrete pad idea ended up being a BAD one. Add to that, the back corner of the yard where it was situated was just so miserable with mosquitoes. The trees are rather heavy back there which kept the coop nice and cool, but we were getting eaten alive no matter the time of day that we visited them there.
So up the coop moved, it now resides in a more open space nearer to the house. There are still trees behind and around it that offer it shade through most of the day, but it's not walled in like it was before.
The original run was "L" shaped, but with the move we couldn't do that without having one part of the "L" run extremely close to our swimming pool, so we just added it to the end and gave them a longer area to run in.

We still have some trim work to finish on the top of the coop, and then I plan to stain all the lighter wood a darker color so the whole thing looks a little more rustic and worn.
All in all I love it, and the girls seem to as well. They have lots of space on the days that I am unable to turn them loose in the yard (I let them run free anytime I'm home but I work, so it's not an every day thing for them).
