We have four chickens and we don't know what the hell we're doing! They are all different breeds and have been healthy for most of the time we've had them. We do have one sick chicken which is really why I joined, to get advice. We got our first egg this week and have had one every day since.

Welcome to BYC! Eggs are a great part of owning Fowl. It's very rewarding getting that first egg after months waiting. My girls produce a rainbow of eggs!

If you need help with a sick bird you should post a thread here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures.10/

Welcome aboard! You're definitely in the right place for helpful advice! If you'll post a good description and some pictures of your sick hen's problems, I'm willing to bet there will be lots of good advice on how to deal with them ... Good Luck!

:frow Hi Bessie Mae and :welcome

Don't worry, you're in good company, I'm sure most of us didn't know what the hell we were doing with our first four chickens, either! :gig

But you've come to the right place for sure, because through a lot of experience, tears, learning, studying, sharing and trial and error, BYC has become a community of experts (not like me) helping rank beginners (very much like me!) learn the ropes when it comes to "chicken wranglin'!"

So if you have a question, comment, problem, emergency or whatever, just post it on here and a whole herd of accomplished chicken wranglers'll gallop on up to take you by the hand and lead you to a (hopefully!) successful conclusion.

So, welcome again, and make yourself right at home! :highfive:
