My chickens have not laid yet today and one lays like clockwork they had yesterday off could I have screwed them up by feeding them them the popcorn yesterday because the other 3 that are laying have not laid yet today

Your title says "New chicken". Is the hen you are concerned about a recent addition, like in the last two weeks or so? It's very common for a new chicken to lay an egg right after moving in with a new flock, but then quit laying for a week or two until she gets over the stress of adjusting to a new home.

In case you're not asking about a new chicken(?), chickens don't lay daily. Any stressors or change can also throw them off. I would not be concerned unless they all stop for an extended period of time, after having laid consistently.
