We purchased 4 new hens and everything was going great, till I noticed two of the stopped laying, or I thought. They had been laying in the lower part of the coop and by the time I discovered them, there were 15 eggs. I destroyed them, now I don't know where they are laying, I presume in the woods. Any ideas?

Don't let them free-range for a week or so to get use to laying in the nest----supply good soft nest with maybe a fake egg in each, after this week do not let them free-range until about mid day with hopes they will lay earlier.
