New Chickens

So there was a bin of chicks at my poultry meeting tonight about to be delivered to the people who had a bad hatch but there where too many. So I might have taken one. With permission of course. But this one doesn't count because it was gifted.

My Speckled Sussex bantams are almost 8 weeks old:

They were a Straight Run that didn't work out well...I have 7 cockerels!

Three pullets aren't enough, so I went online and ordered 5 Dominique bantam chicks, sexed (all female). Six arrived last Friday. They're now 9 days old!

Today we picked up 12 turkey poults. The white meat variety.

They went in the bathroom with the chicks so now we have 42 birds in our bathroom.

Yes, probably a Cochin.

Color is probably Mottled. Sometimes chicks show colors and patterns differently than they will as adults.

Your Buff Brahma looks like my Buff Brahma who is not a D'uccle no matter how much I want her to be.
