new chicks breed question

i have hatched chicks from shipped eggs supposed to be silkies, pure i never had one before but thought they were supposed to have dark skin, these have light leggs and skin do some have light skin , janie

Silkies, even chicks, are suppose to have black skin; the darker the skin, the higher the quality; the lighter the skin, the lower the quality.

Do they have 5 toes and feathered legs? Blue beaks?

It sound like you got silkie x cochin crosses.

im sorry i cant post pictures maybe later i can get my daughter to help me, the chicks are beautiful, just not what i thought they would look like, the leggs look like cochin leggs very light no dark color at all , i was told they were pure
