New chicks dry time?

How long do you leave new chicks in incubating after hatched? How long does it take to dry? First time hatching. I have three RIR right now.

I have a fan in mine and it takes several hours. However, they can go at least 2 days from hatching without food/water. DON"T OPEN YOUR 'BATOR unless you absolutely have to until you are done hatching all your eggs. You lose all the humidity....
