New Chicks Dying Off-Any Suggestions?

I'm sorry you're continuing to have problems. That sounds so odd to me, that there was a lot of egg shell in the shipping box. I've never had that in a shipment of chicks.

Have you called the hatchery yet, to let them know what's going on? I would.

Any that look bad, I would be adding sugar to the water, not just vitamins and electrolytes. They don't have anything stored to live on at this point and need the calories to keep going. I'd keep trying to get some of that into them, offering the drops one at a time, so they swallow it and it doesn't go down their airway.

Hang in there. I hope things take a turn for the better soon.

Probably not what is wrong but just a small thought, try a different thermometer to check the temp in the brooder. I doubt this is it though since I haven't checked my brooder temp since Nov. don't even pay attention to the 5 degrees thing. I just watch my chicks and when they seem to stay away from the heat lamp a lot I raise it up some.
I imagine they got chilled during shipping.
