new chicks in berkeley

Hi everyone! I grew up on Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, CA with lots of chickens, but that was decades ago, so I decided to cope with my increasingly empty nest by getting five newly hatched girls 2.5 weeks ago. (and a pug puppy, but that is for another site.) They are doing splendidly. I leave them outside during the day when it is sunny in their big coop, and at night keep them indoors under a heat lamp. Slightly worried one might be a rooster, but too soon to tell. Anyway, looking forward to sharing all things chicken related with this group!
