New chicks in South Mississippi!

Welcome! Awesome looking coops! I have coop-envy! Lots of room there. I'm in South Mississippi as well. I know not one neighbor! We have been here about a year, so this is my "neighborhood". This has been a wonderful site for information and camaraderie.
Thanks! What part do you live in? We really have only met one of our neighbors who also got chicks this year and are currently using our coop until theirs is finished. Their chicks were several weeks older.

we live north of I-10 off 16th section road. Where abouts do you live. We have been here about 3 years now. I am originally from England. I will become a US Citizen next Friday.

Oh we are not far from there! We live North of 10 also off of Highway 53 (near Fazzios is you've been there). What brought you to MS? And congrats on becoming a citizen!!

I know fazzios. I haven't been there in awhile. I will have to go up there. My husband is originally from pascagoula, he was in the airforce. Thanks for the Gratz. I only started with chicks the Sunday after easter. I had them in the uk and when I lived in Arizona. Tsc had 9 left, I only wanted the 4 little asian blues, but the manager said if I took the 5 white ones too I could have them all for the price of 6. So I agreed. One of th little black ones died in the night so we have 8. How ever due to the massive growth rate in the white ones we have since figured out that the white ones are cornish rock cross. So now I am studying processing poultry. 2 out of the 3 black ones are little cockrells. So I will only have one laying hen. My husband bought me a nice incubator for my birthday and I found a dozen blue laced red Wyandotte eggs in lucedale. 5 of those were not fertile. I have 7 that will hopefully hatch in the next couple of days. I have since found out that my temp was about half a degree low. So I hope they will be ok. They ate at day 20 now and in lock down. The embryos are a bit small. What do you have?

Wow you are more advance than me. I got 6 Black sex links from Fazzios, I wanted to make sure I got all hens. They have been good so far, no health issues and growing strong. They just decide to be jerks and somehow knocked their water down twice in their box. I can't figure out how they do it, I think they all try to get on top and lean to one side.

we made this to deliver clean water. They can't knock it over or poop in it.
