New Chicks on the Block (Which is an Incubator, but it's Close Enough to a Block)

Day Four

Again, not much has happened. Evelyn has not pipped, and my other chicks are being cute and loud. I almost wish I could know I little Evie would hatch or not, since I have eggs that are getting on the old side that need to be incubated soon. I have no good pictures - the pictures I'm taking are either red or blurry.

So perhaps you could amuse yourself with this emoticon:

And there is my entertainment for you. It's not lame at all.

Best of luck to you. I know how disappointing it is to hope and pray for certain ones to hatch & for some reason it's just not meant to be. I have a JG that hatched 6 days ago. She/he is the only one of 11 eggs that hatched. Only 2 were fertile this one and one that just never hatched. We call it Lone Star. That's what my son has decided to call it. It is the most curious thing & so cute (blue/black/splash). We love it already~ loudness & all. Lol

Sure can. We've almost learned the different chirps. Almost like a baby. We can tell when the dog or cat skirts by the brooder (we have a water bottle close by that they are both afraid of & don't seem to want any thing to do w/ the babies) or when they're just purring trying to go to sleep. So sweet. They will go out in the big brooder this weekend. I'll miss them being in the house.
