Okay I received my order of 25 buff orps this morning all are doing great except one. He got kind of trampled in the box. I've be able to get a little water into him but not much. I seperated him from the rest so he won't get picked on. I have him in a show box with sugar laced water and a heat source. I don't know what else to do. He seems to be gasping for air. Is there anything else I can try????

I would stop the sugar water and give vitamins/electrolytes instead. Try putting a few drops of poly vi sol children's vitamins next to its beak. Make sure you get the vitamins without iron.

Try to get it to eat.... some yogurt mixed with the feed is good.

Oh, and call the hatchery immediately to advise that the bird arrived injured so you can get a credit.
