Funny though, only one EE hen and 5 BO hens, and I have had a better hatch from my EE.

It is so amazing the difference in buying 'day old chicks' from TSC (which are NOT day old I have come to realise) and hatching them.. Watching them discover food and water is very rewarding! Not to mention a relief

Does the 'owner' of this thread mind if I post some pics of my babies? My EExBO is GORGEOUS!!!

I mean that my hens are super spunky, so it's very possible that you have an extra tough girl. My first batch, I was sure they were all roosters. They sparred and fought and everything. Nope, they were just very fierce girls.
