new chicks - pic!

when i was taking care of some chicks we took them outside on the grass whenever it was warm, but we made sure we had enough hands to hold them or catch them. just be careful of predadors, and i dont think you have to wait 3-6 weeks. no way.
 
I'm pretty new here, but I would think you could let them outside soon, so long as you are with them and it's warm enough (and they are eating grit). Mine are a week old and I let them scratch around for a few minutes while I clean the cage outside (my husband entertained them with a leaf the entire time...sooo cute!).

I have a Canon XSi DLSR and I use a 50mm when I shoot mine too! It's great for close ups :)
