new chicks sick?

mine is durvet but it water soluable. It is a combination of vit. and elect. Jean

if it were me i'd just do the sulmet. I've heard sugar can sometimes cause diarhea, but not blood. I'd also change the starter to a different brand if you can...is it purina? some folks have said it's too big for newbies to eat now?? used to be fine, but maybe they aren't getting enough down.
good luck, i hope she perks up!

sad time, Lost the little one. Thats two that died out of 26. They were cold and having been shipped on Wed. did not arrive till Sat. The rest are on sulmet. I don't see any more bloody or mucous stools since I removed the other one. I hope it stays that way. Its breaking my heart. Jean

It sucks, but they are very fragile in the beginning...don't worry as they get bigger they get stronger too.

Oh how I need to hear that. I sure hope so. If I lose these I don't think I , oh I don't know .I still love the little things and enjoy the two brahma hens I have. They are not laying yet and are 6 months old but they are so pretty and funny to watch that I would not want to be without them for sure.
I catch myself thinking ahead to spring and summer already. I want some Delawares they are so pretty and lay so well and also two of Speckledhens blue orps, and oh the speckled sussex and and and. Lol. Thanks Jean
