new chicks today!

I think it is totally normal they are sleeping under the lamp...we kept ours in the garage and of course I checked on them multiple times in the night and you could easily gauge how warm they were vs the change in night time lows with as much as 10* the first week we had our girls. Some nights piled under the heater, some night several inches around the heater but not directly under it...looked like a handheld fan they way they would line up around it. And many combinations of the two including several inches away from the heater. We did not use a lamp though instead used a sweeter heater.

Can chicks eat camel crickets? Because one jumped in there, and theyre all like what is it? Several have gone after it, including Sonar. But a few seem a bit terrified of it.

The babes mostly sleeping, a few up and around. Made a mess everywhere in the brooder XD. Cleaned it up and put new stuff in the first time. I laughed as they all ran around me keeping out of the way.

Not sonar, but the next bravest of the group of Black Australorps.

Leads to one of my videos of the little birds after I put a second brooder light in, I found that the box was so big the end was pretty cool, so they wouldnt go near it unless it was high noon and the warmest part of the day. This is the result, you may need to turn your head when the camera shifts. Sorry in advance XD.
