New chicks went out to their pens (pics of pen set up)

Wow, what a great set-up! So smart to have them side by side ...by side like that so that the big ones can talk to the little ones!
Super job!!!

that is a great looking setup! Do you have pics of the outside? I get my chicks today/tomorrow and have the 10x10x6 run built but no coop so far. I guess i have about 4-5weeks to get it done.

Thanks guys! I dont really have too many pics of the outside because we didnt build the whole coop ourselves, we converted an ugly "garage/barn" into it lol

We are repainting everything this summer to a nicer shade, maybe a grey or other NORMAL color, as our home AND coop are now currently an awful shade of pinky-purple! lol I promise as soon as its warm enough and the chicks are out in the big pen all day, I will take some pics of their whole set up and post them.

4Hmom.....you have some very lucky chicks....and kids there. You remind me of a military wife. We learn to cope, and adapt. Being a wife of a retired career AF, I have had to learn many skills. I know your kids will look up to you and just BEAM with pride. My kids are in thier mid 20's now, and still call me when they have car questions...LOL DH gets a little miffed sometimes...and I sometimes defer the questions to him ( just for an ego boost) LOL Congrats on your coop..and when are you getting those darling goats???

That is a great set up. My son even said he liked the idea. I'm starting to think that we should do something like that, especially after the situation that I had yesterday. [Yesterday afternoon I came home to find one of my BSL chicks (3 weeks old) caught between the fence and the other pullets/cockrels. Talk about some mob action. I was so upset because I knew it was too early to let them be with the older chicks. I have really beat myself up over it, so let this be a learning lesson for someone else please. She was bleeding everywhere....see my thread in Emergency section]. You always have such great ideas 4H. Keep those DIY ideas coming.
