Joined the forum finally, but have been reading for years. Have raised chickens, this will be the first year to raise chicks. 10 to start with. Four Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Aquila, 1 Barred Rock and 3 Buff Orphington. I bought the Wyandotte first and the rest the next year from a local feed store. The older ones seem to be much more nervous than the younger ones. I think it was from them being the last of a large group that was sold and the associated a hand with being chased.
You're probably right, lots of activity for those poor buggers.
