Hiya, Katie, and welcome to BYC!! :frow

I do use a few things regularly and keep a few things for just in case. I wouldn't go whole hog on too many extras though if you have a TSC or farm store nearby where you can get it if needed down the road.

When I started raising silkies, I only had two things for the first couple of years, which I bolded.

My chicken box has:
  • Vet Wrap - for binding splay/spraddled legs and wrapping other body parts
  • Vetericyn spray - antimicrobial spray if they get an injury.
  • Poultry Cell - Complete vitamins for water or vitamin therapy
  • Nutradrench - fast-acting vitamins usually for weaker chicks is what I've used it for.
  • Hydro-Hen - Electrolytes/probiotics for water, for chicks and chickens.
  • Triple antibiotic ointment (w/o pain relief).
I've used in the past, but have expiration dates:
  • Ivermectin 5% we use for SLM scaly leg mites they get from time to time (these silkies are prone to them.) Some use this for deworming but most use Safeguard which covers more types.
  • Corid
  • Fish-Mox (amoxicillin).

Hello Katie, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I would move them out three weeks ago!
I would recommend you stick to a commercial all flock type feed offering 18-20% protein and leave them on that for life. At 16 weeks put out a container of oyster shell so they have it available when they start laying.
