Loss of egg production these days the original layers are over 3 years old the new ones are up coming. The silkies have gone broody again. First time in a long while that I have had to buy eggs. More roosters then I need. Older layers could be soup but to attached. Roosters could be meat but don't know how to do it. Plenty of info on the internet but.procrastinating. what to do?

My egg production is down too I'm having some problems with clumsy chickens breaking eggs too, but I haven't had to buy eggs.

Soon I will have all the eggs I need but right now am a bit perplexed. Don't want to buy store eggs guess I'll go to the market. Family coming for BBQ tomorrow it should be a good day. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
