A trial is a very good idea, thanks!
I mainly want to take the roosters off their perch in the dark.
Now it seems my unknown factor that matters for my calendar is how long these roosters will take to get into rigor mortis. Will read back again.

I have not read about pheasants yet. ( Coming back to it. )

Around an hour they are starting to get stiff. It seems to depend on the size of the bird.
