new coop almost ready

Very beautiful coop.

Run is almost done, just need to run the hardware cloth and put top on

lexan (1/4 inch plexiglass) pop door with vinyl track, will not swell with moisture

pic of track pieces.

might have to do some touch up paint, that dang vinyl flooring glue got everywhere. Oh well, floor and 2 feet up the walls is covered.

Kids wanted to play with chicks, so we put them in the run, gotta get that hardware cloth on this week before they can be out there unsupervised.

So I just put the girls out there this evening. My plan is to leave the m in the coop for 4 days or so. This will give me enough time to finish the security measures in the run.

Do you think my roosts are good enough. I will probably do a poop board, but worried they will not be able to get up there. 2.5 feet between roosts sounds like a small jump. Probably just need to wait for them to get older?

For a reference, the boards on the walls are 11 inches wide.
