A little more progress. Also blocked off the nesting boxes with a piece of plywood that i didn't even have to cut !

Gotta get this coop built ! My girls are getting big !

Still need hardware on the nesting boxes. Girls are in it. Still need to insulate for winter and install my ladies first chicken door. Then its on to modifying a ramp and working on the run. I put solar lights in the front and a solar motion light in back. I also found a solar motion alarm and red light that i mounted in back. Hoping that will keep the bears away.

Have to get my chicken door put in. And then start put hardware cloth underneath and build the run. Then insulate and cover the inside.

Wow! This is great work! I wish I had seen your posts before I started on my own hen house project! That said, I am coming to understand that half the fun of having chickens is undertaking various projects to accommodate them - again and again!

Got the chicken door put in. My daughter cut it out with the jig saw. Kind of wavy but it works just fine . Son wanted the sign so thats put on. The ramp i have had for many years and it is falling apart but good enough to hold the chicks. So painted it tonight and will figure how to attach it later. Waiting on more hardware cloth to get delivered.
