Started this earlier this morning. The base is 8x8 with 4x4 post 1ft in the ground in concrete and raised about 2 ft off the ground to give them extra room and shade. The walls are 8ft high to give me plenty of room overhead and have lots of ventilation up high so the chickens heads won't get no wind in the winter. Probably go with a straight slanted roof cause its tall enuff as is plus its simple and easy to do. Im doing everything solo so simple is better. Probably put up one more wall and call it a day.

Haven't made hardly any progress, the laying boxes ate up soo much time cause I kept changing the design. Finally just threw them on. Gonna put the roof on later today or tomorrow but im almost done if they ever send me my wire. Sears is cheap online but don't use them. I was supposed to get mine on the first and haven't got it yet not even a tracking number. Sent an email still waiting to here back

Looks like our 8 X 8. Yeah, the nesting boxes take time.

what kind of plywood wall is that? will you just paint it? started building my 8*8 shed coop but wondering what is best for walls. most sheds use lpsmartside it looks great, not sure if its worth the investment.
i will be putting a wall inside mine to divide the coop for storage purposes because we got lots of snow here so no carrying around chicken food from the garage.
