New Coop..Crazy Man..Lots Done Today, Many Pictures

That coop is going to be wonderful.

Are you putting down linoleum? It makes for easier cleaning.... Be sure to put a nice lip on those nest boxes and a perch that runs the entire length on the inside next to them.

Yes, the doors to nest boxes are hinged on bottom and will swing down, supported by chains on each side. I did it this way to avoid haveing a seam across the top where rain can get in. My big coop has the roof of the boxes hinged, but I put a 2' overhang on the roof above them to keep the rain off. On this coop I went with a narrower overhang so I opted for a solid roof with doors that open. Will see how it works.
More pictures to come tomorrow.

Absolutely awesome! I bet the girls love it! And I'm sure they've already ... ahem ... christened it

Do you have pix of the girls enjoying their new digs?
Congrats, Fireguy - that's one impressive build -

Awwww - they're adorable! I love how they've got that wide eyed 'I have to check every corner of this place out' look. They are really going to love it in there - thanks so much for posting the pic!
BTW, I've been sharing your pix with my 11-year-old daughter. She thinks you're amazing ... and also thinks you've got really cute chickens
