New coop made from pallet wood for my DD's Silkies!

I still need to take some of the inside. I have really been dragging my feet on getting this posted.

Adorable coop -- and daughter.

I have a stack of pallets that I had hoped to use on my own coop, but I haven't yet. But those long frame pieces must not have come from pallets, right? Longest pallet board I've gotten is under 4 feet.

Free wood is fun, but I haven't gotten the hang on nail removal like you mention.

Can I ask the dimensions (length, width, height)? What size is the floor of the house?

Thanks!

That is a GREAT coop! We have access to pallets also. how many birds will that one hold? What are the dimensions? We have a two year old and I think that would be really cute for her too. Also, how heavy is it? Could it be put on skids for a tractor? Do you think it could be moved with a lawnmower or atv? I'm extremely interested in this. And you're daughter is the picture of health and cuteness! I could pinch her nose!

All of the wood came from pallets. If you look around, you can find pallets or what they call "lids" that have the long pieces on them. We get ours from a mirror/glass company here. Try you local glass companies.

I can't remember the exact dimensions. I will measure it once I get a chance.

We only built it for the bantams and Silkies, so this one won't hold to many of the standard sized hens. I would think you would be okay with 3 standards in this one, but you can build it any size you want really. I will get the dimensions of it after while and post them. It might be tomorrow before I can get them, but I will do it! This one is quite heavy, but you could do a shorter version and it would do very well as a tractor. I also thank you for the kind comments on my daughter. She's 100% mess to be honest!

What a beautiful little girl with her Silkie. Gorgeous picture! I need to get some pictures posted of my son with our Silkies. It's so great to see young children involved.
